stborchertDid you use the standard filter or "Content: Has taxonomy term with depth; Simple hierarchical select"?
playfulwolf commentedmy bad - changed somehow this to "Content: My field name"
now everything works fine

christophedg commentedHow does this work fine for you now?
When the parent is selected, none of the children are visible.
Unfortunately this is the biggest "bug" in the module and it's not usable for me like this.
Now I see that ser_house deleted his sandbox project 'Views hst filter', which was working fine regarding this issue.
How frustrating... :-)
I sincerely hope this gets adjusted. Like PlayfulWolf says: for 9 out of 10 people this won't make sense at all.

playfulwolf commentedChristopheDG - if you select "Content: My field name" then it is not working, if you select "Content: Has taxonomy term with
depth; Simple hierarchical select" then it is working as we expect
I did the same mistake

christophedg commentedThanks for clearing that up!

dromansab commentedHi,
I have a view that shows entities profile2: The fields "Content: Has taxonomy term with depth; Simple hierarchical select" don't appear as filters so this solution doesn't work...
Is there any way to solve the problem?
Thanks!

kiwibytes commentedI am having the same problem. When using Profile2 related taxonomies, the option "Content: Has Taxonomy Term .... " is not available.
As a result, If I select Parent term from drop down list, the user profiles in child terms are not visible in View Search Results.
