i have a client that asked me to move their site to joomla so it can be a bit more dynamic

one feature she wants that i dont know how to do is she wants the ability to change the image on the front page

not the logo

but she has a picture of pets on the front page that she would like to switch out from time to time on her own and make sure no matter what she loads it will be the same side

how could i add the function to the front page in a user friendly manner

With Drupal, there are many ways to do this, but the starting point is to install the image module from the contrib repository. All other image functionality depends on its existence. Beyond that it's impossible to make any specific recommendations without understanding the site design.
