Drupal is generating incorrect URL for the comments on my blog or forums... for example...drupal generates URL

http://thinkingparticle.com/forum/gangotri-gaumukh-char-dham-uttaranchal...

and keep increasing the digits.. whereas the actual URL depends on the page and it's something like this

http://thinkingparticle.com/forum/gangotri-gaumukh-char-dham-uttaranchal...

Due to this mismatch, it's sending wrong URL in notification to users and also embedding wrong URLs in blocks associated with comments..

We are at drupal 6.26.... Please let me know if its a known issue and provide me the link where its discussed...

This is how d6 works, unfortunately and is an accepted limitation. It's fixed in 7.x with a comment/CID url and you can get a similar featur ein 6.x with https://drupal.org/project/permalink
