Combine multiple top level vocabulary terms into one superfish menu, with sub level terms to select the proper node

I have Taxonomy Vocabulary - 8 top level named items, with from 4 to 22 sub level terms under each.

I would like to consolidate as 1 horz top level menu, with the 8 vocabulary names space horz across page top.
Then user clicks on one of the 8 vocabulary names and the superfish drops down to make an individual choice from sublevel terms to access term node.

So, I how do I consolidate all the vocabulary top level items into one menu

I tried pointing the vocabulary terms all into mainmenu, but it doesn't work

Example:

Fruits Flowers Vegetables = top level vocabulary in one menu for superfish drop downs.

Apples-oranges-mangos = sub level terms from Fruits Taxonomy menu

Roses-tulips = sub level terms from flowers taxonomy menu

Cabbage-lettuce-carrot = sub level terms from Vegetables taxonomy menu.

This was very easy in D6. I may be missing something, I sure would appreciate a link or something.

I've spent couple hours looking and haven't found an answer.
