It would simplify the mapping process to have a list of fields that are (1) required and (2) configured as externalIDs. These could be displayed within the "Field map" fieldset.

I had the required issue here #1961760: Add required field to SOQL query for Salesforce Pull - I have a patch that works for me but just saw that there were some major changes to the soql creation that I've adapted them to. Man you guys sure did overhaul the pull/mapping modules in the last few weeks!
