Maintain the hover state of the triggering menu link

Hi friends..

Sorry, I am opening this older issue bcoz i couldn't get any workable solution from: http://drupal.org/node/1304560
So many patches are given there nothing was clear to me.

What happens to my site (See screen shots), when a menu minipanel is triggered, the triggering menu item loses it's CSS :hover state. I want, When you mouse over the menu mini panel the menu item should remain themed as though it is hovered (due to a .hover being applied).

I am just one step away from using this awesome module due to this hover issue and i am after this for months now.

quick help is appreciated.
