I noticed you can't filter by the video field fid in views. I would like users to be able to filter by people who have videos in their profile using the "not empty" filter but I couldn't the fid for the video field.

Hello
Video EmbedField module does not store fidfor videos, stores the video_url. So, you can do this adding in your filter the field video_url and then selecting not empty as filter operator.
