There is a typo in ldap_test.info.yml which will break the module page because the yml file can't be read.

core = 8.x should be core: 8.x

What is your version 8 ETA? Also, I would like to help, I've been a developer for over a decade, some PHP here and there, one Drupal 6 site long ago, but never any serious Drupal dev. I noticed your "README.Drupal8Migration.txt" has some tasks, what in that list do you think a drupal dev noob could tackle?
