I used the proper hostname in the above URL in place of XXX.

kevinquillen commentedI get something similar to this- except I am using the domain name pointing to my prod server (www.example.com) and my URLs are saying Forbidden instead.
It did work for me using the xxxx.devcloud.acquia-sites.com URL though for dev and stage. Prod is refusing the request.

charles belovFor clarification, what do you mean by "Prod is refusing the request"?
Does that mean that the request is ignored and the purge does not take place? or is there an actual error that is produced?
Is it only forbidden when you try to purge the page (visible only to you) or is it also forbidden when an anonymous user tries to access the page?
I'm mainly trying to find out how problematic it is to actually try this module if one is on the Acquia Cloud.

jaydub commentedWe have been using Purge on Acquia and am now noticing this error as well. This is happening on the Drupal 6 version both the latest 1.6 and previous 1.5-rc1. I would assume the issue may be with Acquia actually.
I will post a ticket to Acquia and reference this issue.

SqyD commentedHi. I'm dropping specific Acquia Cloud Support for this module as the Acquia Purge is the recommended method to Purge in Drupal 6.x and 7.x on Acquia Cloud. Upcoming 1.7 release reflects this.
