want to create menu item for 'category'

Hello,
I have created a vocabulary called "authors" .Under this i added the authors name and futher i would be creating stroy snippets under these authors.I want to add a menu link for main category called 'Authors' I tried
taxomony/term/1 ----- it prints 2
vocabulary/4 ----------'Author' i want to create a menu link for main vocabulary...any one has tried kindly help.

Don't know exactly what you want, but I think you want to "display all nodes from sub-categories".

Thanks for replying uzbek well i will try to be more descriptive this time.
I created vocabulary (Author)
add two items under this 'abc','xyz'
Now i am creating a menu link
i want user to land on Authors page where he can see listing of these authors and can navigate further.so i tried
/vocabulary/4 .......................................doesn't work
/taxomony/2+3 ....................................displays nothing (url displays like /taxomony/2+%03)
/taxomony/2 ........................................it display an integer 2
can some one suggest a good pointer how one can deal with this stituation.
