....and also the ability for an admin/node owner to edit status of invitees - many times people don't RSVP but node owner's would like to manually edit the list to keep track of known updates.

vulzan commentedIs there no answer to this post? I need (and I presume many others) the exact same thing. How rediculous is it to think the admin of the RSVP wouldn't need to manually be able to edit the responses based upon many busy peoples inability to use the system properly. I am the webmaster for an organization of 90 people, where many of those very busy people (in the legal field) simply reply at the speed of light via thier email client to the webmaster to the evenbt cooridinator. This is simply going to happen. If the RSVP admin had the ability to carry the weight and adjust the responses of its user community (and possibly log when the new setting was made), it would make using the RSVP module practical for many sites ... even when some of its user base isn't very web application familiar or too busy to read ALL the text and directions in the email.
Programming real-life interfaces is about what people WILL do, not what you force them to do (that never works 100% of the time).
Does anyone have an update on this? I have been reading posts now for over an hour and found this, but no replies.

mdowsett commentedI wish there was a reply. I could still use this feature....I mean, I'd actually use the module if it would do this. Without it, it's useless.
I've used the signup module as of late. More robust but still not ideal for sending out RSVPs
