The auto-submit.js script currently does not check for added 'ctools-auto-submit-exclude' classes on keyup events. I attached a patch with a fix.

The 5 year old patch to auto-submit.js still applied cleanly to the latest ctools 7.x-1.x-dev, but still needs to be officially reviewed and tested by the community.

Hunk #1 succeeded at 92 (offset 2 lines).
Applied patch js/auto-submit.js cleanly.
