In Chrome, the green gradient shows fine - it fades into whitish about 10% down the main content area.
In IE 10, the green color is solid and does not fade out (no gradient). I haven't changed fusion-acquia-marina-style.css, and I've no conflicting stuff in local.css.
Could this be an IE10 issue, or ..? IE10 now supports unprefixed gradients, but should show pre-IE10 css correctly.
