I have a view showing a fivestar widget. It renders fine (as stars) in the views-view-fields--MY-VIEW.tpl.php. However, once I create a rate-widget--machine-name.tpl.php, it renders out as numbers instead of stars. What's weird is it turns to stars once I hover over it.

Any Ideas what could be the issue?
