I ran across a situation where I had a Text field full of data and I needed to convert it to a Link without losing that data. I'm somewhat familiar with drupal's database structure so I posted a how-to in case this is useful to anyone else:

As good as it is to see that, it's not an issue with the module itself! But kudos to you for finding your own solution!
