Hello,

I'm trying to customize the widget of recipient field but cannot figure out how to do this.

We cannot change this in the privatemsg field admin and I can't find anything about this purpose.

Anybody knows how I can proceed? Or have a good starting point to advice.

By default, it can't be customized. There are some issues about this if you search the issue queue, such as this one: http://drupal.org/node/563424
