There are a number of certain issues, especially compatibility problems with local mp4 files hosted on the www server of my provider.

With included files from youtube there it runs. Issues persist with the following browsers:
Firefox 20.01 Playback starts only after fully loading the file. Also there is only audio and no video signal (player showing moireé screen), while youtube works.
SRWare Iron 8.05 Player runs but is showing only 30% percent of the height of the video file, the rest of the player is with moireé.
IE 9.08 after reloading the video (30% error) it suprisingly works.

Safari 5.17 does work with one file starting immediately, another mp4 has to fully download, but also showing up perfectly well. Youtube runs also.

Any comments and acks will be highly appreciated because of the mission critical major importance of this module for my project (and other user hopefully too, that will use this fantastic piece of software)

You might have an encoding issue. Take a look at http://drupal.org/node/1565532. It may help to try out a properly encoded test video to see if you are still having problems even with a test video. If everything shows up fine with the test video, then your files need to be encoded differently. But if the test video also has problems, something in your site's configuration may be to blame.

(I've just tested a local mp4 in FF 21.0 and IE10 and the video loads as expected.)
