I did a search,but I could not find what I needed to know. I have never used CMS, except for WordPress. I have developed some pretty involved website using PHP. Now I think it is time to use a CMS. I have the task of building a Classified Ad type site, where customers will create a classified that needs to be paid for. Obviously Drupal can list the ads, I just want to know if I this is possible before I get to far into it.

The short answer is yes. Checkout the commerce, ubercart, lm_paypal, and ed_classified modules (there are probably others as well).
