I've seen this issue for some time now, and am now trying to figure out and correct it. I have a "Registration" product for an event. One of the "Attributes" is "Type", which is required for the user to indicate whether it is an "Adult" or "Youth" registration.

For some reason, after someone has registered, if I attempt to edit their registration node, it clear the Type field (i.e. nothing is entered). I've verified that they are required to complete it and that it has been completed for every order over the last three years. Yes, in most cases, when I edit the registration, it doesn't appear.

Here's the tricky part. In some cases, the field doesn't appear at all. My guess is that I'm missing some odd setting somewhere that is doing this, but I can't figure it out. I've definitely not identified the difference between nodes where the field appears (empty) versus where it doesn't appear at all.

Any ideas appreciated!

"registration node"? This isn't a core feature, are you using uc_node_checkout or some other module to handle this?

Good call. Yes, I'm using uc_node_checkout. Would that completely rule it out of being a core issue?

As the only link between attributes and related nodes is uc_node_checkout, and I have never seen anything like this in core, I believe this must be something to do with that module. Closing as duplicate of #1999382: Attribute Clears When Edited
