I would like to use this module for commentary during a live event (video) that will be streamed via an external site. Basically, I would like users to comment without refreshing the page.

There will be an estimated 100 users logged in and possibly half of them will be commenting.

Is this module a good option for this scenario? Do you think there'll be a severe performance issue?

The site is on a VPS with 3GB of RAM and 2 CPUs (I know this isn't enough info - but it's a start).

I'm going to go ahead and close this as part of a general issue queue cleanup. I'm guessing this question isn't answerable without at testing, and that the live event has happened by now. If the original poster did use this, please update this issue and let us know how it went!
