It would be nice to different menus show for different roles such a "Manager" menu for a manager role which is commonly what I provide our clients on most sites rather than sticking with the default navigation menu I prefer to tailor it to their exact needs. Other than that it is a very slick module.

Hm. The intended behavior is a bit different. Since admin_menu is respecting user permissions and you are able to create user roles with different permissions, a user is only able to see menu items she is allowed to see. Thus, you are already able to display a different administration menu for different users.

Unless I didn't get you totally wrong, I'm marking this issue as won't fix. Feel free to re-open it and clarify what you were meaning.
