Remove "Welcome to" message in preprocess_html template function ignored

Hi,

I am testing your Tundra Subtheme to see if it will be suitable for our current site. I have no content promoted to front page. There is a a method tundra_subtheme_preprocess_html() in template.php which should remove the "Welcome to [site-name]" message from the front page. This is not happening as the attached screenshot shows.

Any help welcome.
