When I go to Content/Files and hit the Import Files. It asks for a Directory. It doesn't specify which directory it needs nor does it show an example of it. So a little confused as what to put there. The documents and images that I want to import are on my Desktop. However it won't accept anything I type. Getting error that 'This directory does not exist. No files were found matching *.jpg.' Any help is much appreciated.

The Migrate module does not have an "Import Files" UI, and there is no "Directory box" to type into. You must be using some other contributed module to provide this Content/Files menu - please move this issue to that module's issue queue.

Actually this UI is provided by Media, shifting one more module over...

I think you might find #1503574: Import pattern advice incorrect helpful since we know we need to improve the inline docs for that form element.
