is feedapi production ready or should I use leech?

Hi, the feedapi project looks great.

practical question

I am trying to include external rss feeds and feed items on a almost ready to launch production website. Is the "beta-1" version going to have a clean upgrade path (ie no applying patches, just the usual upgrade process)? Or, would you recommend using leech for production level site and then hoping for an update script(I know leech is no longer going to be supported)?

I simply want feed items brought in, nodes created, and a taxonomy term applied to the new nodes based on the feed they come from( I know I can do this in leech). Will feedapi do this already for me in the basic module, or would I be waiting on another module to get this functionality?
