In fact, I'm going to put the current dev snapshot (as of now) as alpha3...

As Dev is synched with Alpha 3 right now there is no difference - but Dev tends to be a little 'ahead' compared to official released in terms of bug fixes.

Milkrow commentedI've just installed the 6.x-2.5 release to try and address this issue, but I'm still seeing encoded characters in the source of my title tags such as apostrophes and ampersands (&). Is there some other global setting in Core that would affect the output of Page Title? I'm having the same issue with Nodewords and have posted a support request there separately. Thank you for any help.

nicholasthompsonIt would be useful to post more information - such as what the Page titles are that you're using, are you using a custom theme (does the same happen with Garland?), etc...
Also - this is a closed ticket - if you need support, please open a new one (maybe reference this ticket). Otherwise conversations get lost/side-tracked. My gut feeling is there is an issue specific to you/your setup here...
