This is a great but underloved module for attaching Slashdot-like icon images to stories and/or teasers based on the category of the content. The module is handy as hell but almost certain to fall through the cracks without help.

This needs to be made into an actual task proposal before it can be made official. Please see the guidelines at http://code.google.com/p/google-highly-open-participation-drupal/wiki/Ho... and some other important steps at http://groups.drupal.org/node/7360#tasks

@smazsyr: If you're not the maintainer for taxonomy image, it would be best if you could contact the maintainer to see if they are in the position to help mentor the student during the task and review the work (that is, unless you feel comfortable taking that role).

If you want this ported, contact the module's maintainer and ask him if he has time to mentor the upgrade. This will probably not go into a task without his approval and help.
