This module is extactly what I have been looking for! Thanks!!!
There is a small problem I have however.
I would like to use the freetagging input box, but without giving access to the level of my existing category.
This seems like a simple tweak... Can you do it?
Thanks!

AeonX commentedjust noticed a typo that will keep you from understanding my post...
I do NOT want to give access to the root level of my category with the free tagging input form.
Thanks!

chadchandler commentedYou want there to be an input field for people to tag content but you don't want them to have access to view the content they tagged? Is that what you're saying? Check into the Taxonomy Permissions module, or the tax lite module. Better yet, go into the taxonomy section of the modules download page and check all them out as you might be able to answer some of your "future" questions. Wrong place for this question though.

AeonX commentedThis is not my question...
In the module you created, when I allow free tagging, which I want to allow, it allows the users to create a new root level taxonomy term... I do not want to allow that. I want them to be able to create only new child terms sunder the top level tax terms in the category.
In the setup for this module you provide a checkmark "Display parent terms as selectable form items". I DO NOT select this, but in freetagging it still gives users the power to overide this... I do not want users to be able to create a top level (root level) term, only sub-terms.
savvy?
Thanks for your help!

rconstantine commentedI hadn't thought about that kind of use-case. Seems reasonable. This module is nearly due for some attention from me, so I'll see about working this feature in when I get to it. Marking postponed to make it stand out.

AeonX commentedThanks!
Sounds great... another suggestion would be to have an option to allow the checkboxes display horizontally instead of just vertically. With a lot of terms the list can get long... and ugly!
Again, thanks for the great module!

rconstantine commentedThat should be able to be done with theme function overrides and CSS I think.
