Quite a while ago I made the mistake of doing an svn update of my G2 and killed the connection to my Drupal 5.x site. Since that was just my family site I decided to just switch over to using image for that site. My heavy G2 using site is in 4.7 and so was not affected. But now I'm wanting to upgrade that site to 5.x to get it cleaned up and ready to upgrade to 6.x this Spring. I had hoped that G2 2.3 would have come out by now and that I could just move to an official release and get back in synch but that hasn't happened.
So I'm stuck on 2.3-svn core 1.2.18, which is a several months old svn update. I don't want to update it to a newer svn version for fear of worsening the problem. And I can't go back to 2.2 without making a mess. So I'm wondering if the 5.x gallery module has caught up, yet?
If not, any advice on what I should do? I'd really like to get this site upgraded soon but I want to keep G2 integrated.
Thanks,
Michelle

michelleWhen I filed this, I couldn't find my original issue. Now that I was looking for this one, I found them both. So linking to the original. http://drupal.org/node/154381

profix898 commentedI didnt have time to try the 5.x-2.x series with Gallery2.3/svn, so I cant tell exactly if it works ;) As far as I remember from porting the module to D6 (that version is G2.3 compatible, even requires it) there were 1 or 2 minor changes in the G2 API. Is it still a valid observation that you simply get a white screen with G2.3 and the latest module version?
However, I will fix some serious bugs that were reported recently and turn back to your question in a few days.

michelleI don't know... This problem happened last June and the answer then was that 5.x wasn't compatable with Gallery2.3/svn so I ended up dropping G2 on my 5.x sites and going with a Drupal based gallery instead. The only site I still have with G2, now, is a 4.7 one. I'm hoping to upgrade it either to 5.x or maybe 6.x depending on how long it takes me to get to it but I can't until the gallery module can handle it since that site really needs G2.

Mutiny32 commentedI'm getting a "Embedding API version is incompatible." with latest stable of Gallery2.

lvthunder commentedIf your using the 6.x version you need to use the nightly version of G2.3 not the stable version G2.2.
