My Free Tags change to registered taxonomy terms

Description
When adding new tags in the My Tags field under a node, tags are checked against the existing taxonomy terms and change to the closet one as soon as submitted.
Social Tags are activated only in one vocabulary and should not intercross with another vocabulary in one node. Yet they do.

Seems that this has to do something with the #maxlength of the term field, because when starting a new site, tags are added, but in a day or two, when the tags get more in number, the said problem appears. I am changing the status to bugs.
