When I enable the "User pictures in posts" feature under Global Settings for themes, it causes the user picture to be displayed twice on the bio page, since the bio is essentially a post owned by that user... at least I think that's what's happening.

Ozeuss commentedI'm not able to reproduce this bug.
What are the settings of bio?

cfowler commentedI am not the original submitter of this issue, but I am encountering it as well. I hope this is ok. Here is some more detail:
* Normally, the account page will display the picture associated with the account.
* I also see user pictures with all the user's content, such as in forums.
* After enabling the bio module, I enable "use bio for user profiles". When I look at my account, the bio is displayed on the main page for the account, including the picture alongside the bio. This is inaddition to a picture being displayed above it where I'd normally see a picture in absence of a bio.
* The end result is I have 2 copies of the user's picture. My understanding is that one picture is due to the profile displaying the picture, while the other is due to displaying content for the user (in this case the bio), which also automatically displays the picture.
* Finally, in case it is relevant, I am using a modified version of the aberdeen-liquid theme.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Chuck

webchickAwesome, thanks for the clarification!
I don't have time to look at this right now, but I'll set back to active so it stays on my radar for the coming weeks.

cfowler commentedHi,
As an additional follow up, I don't think I mentioned that I have set in my theme the flags "user pictures in posts" and "user pictures in comments". If I unset these flags, I only see 1 copy of the picture in the user account page. Does this help to clarify what the issue is?
Thanks,
Chuck

cfowler commentedI have now identified what specific configuration causes the issue. For themes, the global setting "Display post information on" can be set for different content types. It was set for Biography, which caused the duplicate picture. I noticed this because I did not want post informaiton to be displayed for the biography. Once I unset it, the duplicate picture went away. I do not remember whether it was set by default. Anyway, my specific issue has been resolved.
Thank you,
Chuck
