Now that I have the fields added and the colorpicker. All Appear to work when editing a node but when I hit submit the data is not displayed.

I had this same issue, but I noticed that when I add a colorpicker text field, the value is saved and appears properly on both controls.

Yeah this is an issue of the switch between the older, less useful version of this module, and this newer version. The new version allows for a single colorpicker to be used for multiple textfields. Unfortunately there is, as yet, no way to add 2 colorpickers to a form, although I don't see the purpose in this.

I'll leave this marked as active so that other people can find this information.

Do we need to uninstall the module the re-install it with fresh version?

The fields for the old version and the new version are completely different. You will probably need to uninstall it completely and re-install it. This is so that the fields are re-registered with the Content Construction Kit. I'll add this to the readme when I get a chance.
