I am having one problem though. I don't want to display country in the address but when i disable that field it also disables the state drop down and then won't let me save. I don't mind country being their on the edit view I just want it hidden on the display side.

As you can see in the screen shot, what you want to do works. Are you sure you're using version 2.1? And do you have activeselect installed? And did you enable the countries you want to use? And did you select a default country and state? Try those things - it works!
