Steps to reproduce: Open theme configuration dialog.

Especially for new Drupal users it would be very helpful if the help texts contained anything about the allowed icon sizes and/or transparency in logo image. This was suggested at [1].

Setting this so "needs more info", feel free to suggest new help texts.

To quote Gábor from http://lists.drupal.org/pipermail/development/2007-December/027977.html: "RC1 is string freeze, so whatever needs modifications in the strings is generally postponed to Drupal 7."

This is theme dependent, so each theme should provide this text separately.

With php5 dependency in d7, perhaps we can let themes resize the logo to fit the theme and ask the user to upload the highest resolution version they've got?

This is in the wrong component. The doc component in Drupal is really for API documentation.
