SCORM API module interest?

brettev - December 19, 2007 - 23:59

I am putting the feelers out to see what kind of interest there would be in development of a SCORM API module. Maybe a port of moodle's or something. So here's a few questions I hope to get responses on:

1. Who's interested?
2. What version of the scorm api is most requested?
3. What sort of expertise do people have to lend to the project?
4. When can we start?

I really think Drupal would make a powerful LMS, and if there were something that could present a scorm API, a scorm content type, and integration with the quiz module/gradebook, it would be a pretty killer setup.

I have php/drupal/mysql experience. I'm a little light on javascript, and the whole scorm api is on javascript. Any thoughts? Anybody interested? I'm willing to start a module if I can get a couple people to help out.

There have been a few people asking about this -- Maybe it's time to get all interested parties together and see who would want to contribute what.

It would also be great to see it work cleanly with eXe

Cheers,

Bill
