Hi,
Try Drupal Ahah framwork module, this will help you in creating ajax based functionality.
Ahah framework is included in Drupal 6.
For drupal 5 you can use this module : http://drupal.org/project/ahah_forms

I have same problem in drupal7. cant get views select boxes work in hierarchy :(
any ideas?
