I'm trying to create category lables automatically. Ie: The user inputs his "parent" on the form, and it's automatically generated at each subsequent level. Is this possible, or am I crazy?

I don't think this is related to this module.

directory.module only displays whatever data there is in the database. It does not manipulate any data.
