As part of our new service offerings we are offering a free month of service to Drupal Forum members.
Our core offerings are all based on VPS hosting. This allows users to start on a VPS which is not much more than a shared host, but then easily work up the ladder as higher end plans host fewer and fewer customers.
We own and operate all of our own hardware. Each VPS based server is fully managed.
Drupal Forum members can use coupon (promotion) "drupalforums" to sign up for a free month. Because a free account, especially one posted in a public forum, has a massive chance of abuse, the account will not be setup until is is manually approved. Be sure your contact information is correct, and you use a valid e-mail address and phone number when signing up.
You can learn more at http://www.hotdrupal.com
The *monthly* plans eligible for the free trial are Starter, Standard, and Plus.
Our goal is not the be cheaper than everyone else. We are geared towards being able to provide good service, purchase higher end disk drives, and keeping database and disk local to each server. Each server has hardware level RAID redundancy.
We also have trials available to a small number of serious users looking at our higher end products.

Are you a real company?
We've received a number of e-mails asking if we are a real company. Another question we get a lot of is do you offer disk drive redundancy.
The second question is quick - yes, all of our servers have RAID redundancy. The RAID is done by a hardware controller on the servers with each controller having it's own battery backup in addition to the servers being connected to a UPS and diesel generators.
Our phone numbers - including our local number, toll free number, and London, UK numbers are posted on each and every page of our website.
Our company is a registered corporation in the state we operate. We have a business license from the local community in which we live, and have had so since we began operation. We file corporate taxes and all income to shareholders and employees is reported. We have a state tax ID, a federal employer id and have had for well before starting this service.
If you jumped in your car and drove out here, you could borrow a phone book and find our company in the AT&T Yellow Pages.
Sure, this may prove nothing, but it is some indication we've been around for a while and are not a basement operation.

Anyone review this place?
Does anyone have any comments or reviews of this site. This doesn't look like its a true VPS so I'd love to hear what others have experienced. I personally use Linode but I'm always up for reviews of other places.
I like it
My sites were dying on shared hosting due to my module addiction. They and I have been very happy since moving to HotDrupal. Linode / Slicehost are good if you know what you're doing. But I wasn't up for learning about LAMP management. I just wanted to learn Drupal and do my sites. So a managed VPS was exactly what I needed.

Michelle...what level of
Michelle...what level of servers have you used? I'm surprised to see their entry-level "Starter" plan (http://www.hotdrupal.com/plans.html) is only $6/month...and that is a VPS?! it sounds too good to be true.
I figured I'd try them out but I didn't want to get too-low of a plan to try and end up as frustrated as I am now with the shared hosting I've been using.
.
I'm not on a plan as I got my account before the company was set up. Based on the factors there, I'd be between Standard and Plus. Based on my CPU/SQL usage, though, he said I'd be between Plus and Super. He really needs to quantify CPU/SQL limits and put them on that plan if he wants to count those.
Really, your best bet is to talk with Steve. He's not some impersonal corporation and he can help you figure out what's best for what your sites need.
