It would be great if this module could be used in conjunction with the asset module, a module which will change the face of drupal ease of use as we know it. There is an api for integration available here.

I'm looking into this, but it doesn't seem to be that easy to integrate the two modules.
When i find some free time, i'll try getting it working...
I'll keep you updated.

Since Asset module support CCK then please use CCK to provide any additional fields. I suggest you to use CCK because it is more powefull, you then use a theming to provide more flexible and professional look.

And please upgrade to Drupal 6, so you can use the advanced features of Whizzywig. Whizzywig 6.x now is an independent module: built in Image Browser and Image Manager, also including the newest version of Whizzywig library (v57 version). I have fixed almost 99.9% bugs, please try it now!
