Can watch dog miss an user activity ?

I am little bit surprised as user x showed up on online list as well as in the page ?q=admin/user,
with last activity recorded in corroboration with online list.

But watch dog logs show no record ?
Can an user be trying any trick ?

There was no watchdog entry that the user logged in etc.
But Yes, there were "access denied" messages.
However the ip it showed was something different from that of the user IP.

I am interested in knowing more !

Unless I am mistaken, all this means is that someone somewhere (and it was not you) tried to get into your site as admin. They will be unsuccessful because they don;t have access. I cannot tell you anything about the IP issue you note, as I am not sure I understand fully what that is about.
