Comments are attaching to nodes instead of users. Eg:

What node type is the example node of?
Is it the usernode of the user to whome the guestbook entry was written for?

It was a node of type "anecdote" (created with CCK).. glad you're working on it - indispensible module!

Hm.. this is really strange. IMHO this can only happen if a node of another nodetype gets the nid of a node that was formerly a usernode. I run this module on an active site without this problem, so this will probably a configuration issue or something with CCK.
If you want further support for this, please tell me: What do I have to do to reproduce this bug on my mashine?
