I love what this module will do. I need something like this for 5.3

Insisting on email addy for all users is not practical for very young and older people too.

This is an old request. I don't think we would need Drupal 5 port now with Drupal 6 taking heads everywhere. If there are more request for Drupal 5, I would consider the release. But, I am closing this thread for now.
