You thought about exposting the Volunteer_Timeslots table to views so we can get some cool reports on things like what timeslots in which events are still open, or what timeslots a particular user is signed up for?

It's a nice idea - however, the data is stored in a serialzed form so this would be impossible without a substantial rewrite that would essentially translate that serialized data into the contents of an additional table.
