I have the one from jquery_update module currently installed and get the following error (See screenshot) when trying to vote on the node/comment.

I'm pretty sure this is because I'm not using the newest jquery.js, but that causes problems with other modules (TinyMCE for one...)

Workarounds?

What's the JS return using Firebug?

After more investigation, I just can't find the bit in the module that returns "error" as an error string...
