Thank you for the feedback. I guess that so many regions make administration harder.

Idea with plenty of sidebar regions was to provide easy hooks for different colors/styling per region. That's the reason why all sidebar regions have ids. For instance, you can apply different colors to the sidebar regions by extending color scheme css.

The actual colors and styling were unified when we turned to per theme styling and color scheme configuration. This made original idea quite non-obvious.

The beauty of this theme is simply the fact that it has so many options. Per region theming for the sidebar vs per block saves time. Please don't remove this! If anything add more regions (like above the logo), a left sidebar, and variable width support! The ultimate modular customizable theme!
