IMO the subscription list that appears at user/ should not appear unless the user has at least one active subscription, and the subscription list there should show only the user's active subscriptions. This context is user-centered; a list showing subscriptions that have not been subscribed to gives more information than should be seen in this context.

I agree that it should only list active ones and if one is expired, it should just say "expired - subscribe again" or something.
