Can someone with shell access please cvs up this in /var/www/drupal.org/project/cvs/contrib-cvs/CODING_STANDARDS.html ?

I'll second that. It would be lovely. We've been waiting for the coding standards to be updated since the spring I believe.

This all looks like deprecated project module infrastructure taking up 741M with multiple checkouts of Drupal and contrib from over a year ago. And there are some instructions saying I should use some scripts and not do a simple cvs up.

If all this is actually not needed, I would recommend making other arrangements for http://drupal.org/coding-standards and removing that file tree. Maybe I could work that update into the API site's cvs ups, which already gets contrib/docs/developer.

A couple more potential solutions for removing this dependency:

- Remove the coding standards from CVS and keep them as a drupal.org node.
- Move them into contrib/docs/developer and let the API site pick them up.

This doc is less important in CVS now because less people check out all of contributions than two years ago. There used to be value in keeping coding standards there because developers would see it in their checkouts. I am not sure that this location still makes sense.

I think moving to the API site (file residing in contrib/docs/developer) is a good idea.

Anyone can now edit the page at http://drupal.org/coding-standards and it looks like it has been fixed. Marking as fixed.
