Over the past days I have been trying several different ways to create a custom date field for the date of the data in a report and not the submission or creation date. At first I tried numerical and text fields, but in the end I used the DATE module. All was good...
Then I went to manage custom fields and deleted the fields I no longer needed, but when I went to the add content page, the deleted fields were still there (and still required as well).
I also have views 1.6 installed so I checked my fields and filters and sort criteria to remove any reference to the now deleted fields (there were some there). Then I cleared views cache, ran content clean up and cron.
But the deleted fields are still there. I really need to clean this up for my client before people get back to work next Wed so any help would be appreciated (and yes a donation is possible but this seems like a bug to me).

jefbak2 commentedNo improvement despite cleaning checking and double checking. Since I am not comforatable tweaking the database directly, I am going to have to delete this content type a create a new one.
Which is going to be a lot of work...

jefbak2 commentedNow I have a field showing up on forms that it should not show up in. Under the Manage fields in content types, the field does not exist. Yet it is showing up???

karens commentedClosing old issues. None of us is using the D5 version any more, so hard to provide any support. Sorry.
