Patch that fixes an error in the calculation of maximum points a user earns.

To reproduce,

1) create a new user
2) award 100 points
3) award 100 points
4) award 100 points
5) check the user's max_points in the userpoints table.

Feel free to re-open this issue or create a new one for 6.x or even better 7.x if this bug is still open or feature is missing for these versions.
