I have make setup of ubercart and all module required (I see tutorial by site ubercart: now not work)
but how I can to make category and insert products?
I ask because if I go under Store Administration>Products
I not have option for insert new products; I have only:
View products;
Move products;
Find orphaned products;
Manage classes
Manage atributes
Export
Import

Hi alb,

For adding new products, go to 'create content' link and there you would find a link to create products.

For adding categories, go to Administer -> Content management -> Categories . There you will see a list of all the vocabularies defined for your site, Catalog will also be listed. Click 'add terms' in front of catalog to add new categories.

but how I can insert the image for product?

is possible if I am administrator of the site to have
an user that when is logged not have access at all functionality of the site
but only at one simplified panel, where can to create category, add products, etc.. ?
so manage only shop

Hi alb,

You will need to have ImageField and ImageCache modules installed and enabled. They are optional modules for Ubercart's basic functionality but are required if you want to attach images to products. After you have both the modules, go to 'Store Administration' link and at the bottom you will see a link showing current status of image handling. Just click on the link there and it will take care of the rest.

For the other question, I am not sure if it would be possible to get the exact set of permissions for the user that you want but you should start by creating a new user role at 'User Management -> Roles'. Then go to User Management -> Access control' and give this role appropriate permissions and finally assign the correct role to the user at User Management -> User. The key would be to find the right set of permissions.

ok image I can insert but:
how I can manage the thumb (dimension and position) ?

also the catalog have how zencart language options
and money options (dollar, euro)?

For managing the thumb size - Site Configuration -> imagecache but I am not sure if ubercart would be happy if you change the thumb size there. I don't know about position.

For option of different currency - Store administration -> configuration -> store settings where you can set various things. Language I haven't figured out yet.

I do not have Administer -> Content management -> Categories, that is the Categories option does not exist, but Catalog appears as a Taxonomy vocab. Is this an issue?

Hi I have a same issue as you. I installed 6.x-2.0-beta5. I set up everything in the manual, but not seeing "Categories". I can see Taxonomy vocab like you described. What did I do wrong ?
