Hi
I recently installed the 5.3.x branch of the Activity Module to test its functionality. However, when I tried to revert back to 5.x-2.1-2 I am now getting a blank screen. I used the 'uninstall' feature each time (before installing 5.3 version... and then before reinstalling the 5.2 version)... so I don't know if that helped or caused the issue. Please note, by blank screen, I mean the entire screen is blank - as if there is an error in the 5.2 code. Any suggestions on how to get the 5.2 version functioning on my site again?
thx

sirkitree commentedFirst, just a piece of advice to help you avoid this in the future, I would make sure that you do this sort of testing on a localhost version of your site, or a development area of some sort.
Secondly, I will try to do this myself and see what I get, then report back here with my findings.

jlee commentedMost definitely... I do normally do a full back-up of my database prior to moving to new versions of a module... however, this time, I didn't. Hopefully we'll be able to uncover the issue.
thx for looking into this...

jlee commentedOkay... I've fixed the issue. Just in case anyone else runs into this let me explain what happened.
I 'uninstalled' version 5.x-2.1.2, removed all related files from the module directory and did a fresh install of 5.3. However, because the Page layout of the 5.3 version displays as a sortable table I uninstalled it (The tabled layout will not work for my site, and thus far I haven't been able to figure out to change it).
Upon trying to revert back to 5.x-2.1.2 I kept getting a blank screen (the entire screen) when visiting the "mysite/activity" page.
To fix this.... I again deleted all the related files from my modules directory. Then deleted ALL references to the activity module from my database. I then started a fresh install with version 5.x-2.1. This enable the mysite/activity page to display again. I then updated to 5.x-2.1-1. And then 5.x2.1-2. Everything now seems to be working again. I suspect that the module is still dependent upon the files in the "include" folder... but I haven't tested this theory yet. sirkitree feel free to comment on whether this is true or not (I hope not, because if so, anyone doing a fresh install of the 5.x-2.1-2 version will have a non-functioning module)
Thanks for being willing to help troubleshoot this sirkitree.
